Donnie attended The University of Mississippi and earned a B.A. from Mississippi College in 1994, followed by a Th.M. in Educational Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1998. His early career included teaching high school Bible and coaching football, baseball, and softball at Trinity Christian Academy in Addison, TX, from 1998 to 2004. Upon returning to Southaven, he worked in Advertising and Customer Care at Chambliss Builders until 2010.
Donnie obtained his real estate license as an 18-year-old freshman at Ole Miss and has maintained an active license for over 23 years. Coming from a distinguished real estate family, Donnie's father was a builder, and his mother, Margie Mays, currently works as an agent for the DC Team. His grandfather, Don Chambliss, Sr., was a pioneer in DeSoto County real estate and served as a MS State Representative for 24 years.
After gaining experience in the family home building business, Donnie transitioned to a full-time real estate career, moving his license to Bob Leigh & Associates (2010-2015) and later to Crye-Leike Realtors in Southaven (2015-2024). Under his leadership, the DC Team has become the #3 Crye-Leike Team in the Mid-South, the #1 Crye-Leike Team in MS, and the #1 Team in the NWMAR Multi-Million Dollar Club in 2023, serving over 1,000 clients with a career team volume exceeding $370 million.
Committed to giving back, Donnie actively supports numerous community organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation, DeSoto Family Theater, North MS Endurance, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a St. Jude HERO, and the Southaven Chamber Foundation’s Bridge Academy.
Donnie is a devoted family man, enjoying life with his wife, Heather, and their daughters, Karis and Clare. They love playing tennis, spending time at the lake and beach, traveling, and cheering for Ole Miss Football. Heather Chambliss, Ph.D., is a medical writer and health communications researcher at St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
